The Walch family has been involved in unique cable logging systems throughout the mountains of the Pacific Northwest for over 75 years.  Over the years, the Walch family has been designing and building Skyline logging machinery.  They created the wolrd's largest Skyline logging system with capabilities of reaching 7,000 feet (2,133m).

In the early 1970's Rainier Skyline Excavating, Inc. began building Skyline excavators for site-specific projects in the sand and gravel mining industry.  Today they design and build the most efficient and cost effective material handling systems in the world.
